G'Day dear Hags,
This Saturday our moon will be in Virgo, a sign of cleanliness, order and neatness. What better time for us to wander around the FAB neighborhood painstakingly collecting stains, grinding plant, animal and materials into our clothing?

Indeed, this workshop will be in defense of the stain.

Here's the plan:

Bring something you'd like to dye or stain, a cotton or natural fiber item. We will put everyone's garment into a big pot of mordant (a chemical that opens up the fibers of fabric to accept dye/stain). We will go for a 20-30 minute walk around the FAB building collecting things to stain with...anything from rusty nails, walnut hulls, drippy trash, motor oil, banana peels, you name it/find it. We bring it back to the sculpture yard and get to staining.

We will also have a selection of natural stain/dye materials on hand to experiment with including beets, red cabbage, onion skin and of course mushrooms, however let's get creative and intentionally stain as no humans have intentionally stained before.
Staincerely,
petra and umico
